CEREC CAD/CAM

We offer a range of dental prosthesis options to restore oral function

Dental restorations often rely on high quality prosthesis, which can be created using CEREC CAD/CAM technology. The CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Aesthetic Ceramics) system combines 3D imaging, computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology and a milling machine. This allows our dentists to design, produce and fit custom restorations, all while a patient is still in the chair.

CEREC restorations are just as durable as other dental restorations, with the added benefit of being created in a single visit.

The technology is a revolutionary method of dentistry and was invented by Professor Werner Mörmann and Dr. Marco, and it first launched in 1985.

How does it work?

The process uses computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) to create the restorations. The dental restorations are made based on digital scans of the patient’s mouth which are put through 3D computer software.

The software then passes the data onto a unit that fabricates ceramic restorations. The restorations are ready the same day.
